This study, conducted by the Center for Gender, Peace and Security (CGEPS), consisted in monitoring certain media outlets in Cameroon, with the aim of recording statistics on the representation of women in news content. What emerged was a low representation of women-related topics, and an average representation of topics covered by women in news editions. What's more, there is an almost total absence of women-related content in reporting on crisis and conflict situations, despite the positive role that women can play in times of crisis or conflict, hence the recommendations made.
